Children's Ministries
Sunday School for all children starts at 9:30 am Sunday mornings
Children's Church is held during the Worship Service for all kids from
toddlers through elementary age. Adults and teen leaders guide our precious little ones in Bible Stories, songs and games during the adult sermon time of the morning worship service.
Frequently the youngsters present programs to the adults for special events, like the Father's Day play. Our West-Plex kids love to dash off to Children's Church the moment the announcement is projected on the screen that it's time to go. One little girl recently scooted out of the service, shouting, "Wait for me!" The adults love over-hearing their singing and joyful noises from behind the back balcony area. While it could be considered distracting to some, most of us just praise the Lord for the 20-30 little ones we have in our church, who are eagar to learn all they can about God and Christian life.
Baseball Themed VBS
VBS 2007 at West-Plex started on the hottest day of the year so far! The kids didn't notice it though as they learned about being on God's Team in the Baseball Themed event. Snacks, ball games and stories about baseball players who have learned what it means to be on God's Team highlighted the activities led by Joelle Tschetter and Amanda Marquette.
All children attending had a chance to win 4 tickets to a real Cardinals Baseball Game at Busch Stadium if they learn all four of their daily Bible verses and bring at least one friend. Friday night culminated the week's events with a family social including a softball game and ice cream social.
