Truck Stop Ministry We have a Worship Service at the TA Travel Center in Foristell, MO. every Sunday Morning at 9:00 am. This service is geared toward serving the spiritual needs of truck drivers who are on the road helping to provide our daily needs. We also provide transportation from the truck stop to our second service at 10:45 am at our church building on Highway T just a couple of miles south of the truck stop. Trucker Church Reaches 2800 Truckers The Trucker Church Ministry of West-Plex Community Church, Foristell, has reached a new mark in connecting with truckers and travelers from all over the United States. Recently we had our 2800th sign the visitor book and attend the weekly service held in the drivers' lounge at the TA Truckstop on I-70 at Foristell, MO. Trucker Church services have been held weekly since July, 2001, led by the Rev. Jim Kane, Pastor Emeritus of West-Plex Community Church. In all that time, there has only been one Sunday during which no truckers came for services. Pastor Kane had been an evangelist traveling all of North America for many years prior to his retirement. "Now people from all over North America come to the truck stop to hear the gospel," Kane said. Weekly church services include a time of praise and worship, a sermon, prayer for specific needs and communion. All are welcome for the one-hour service, which starts at 9 am. |
